UIA Golden Cubes Awards 2020
As the Danish representatives of UIA WP Architecture & Children My Little Architect – aka Malene Abildgaard & Julie Dufour – in collaboration with The Danish Association of Architects has arranged and coordinated the Danish part of the proces for the international award The UIA Golden Cubes Awards 2020 – Malene as coordinator/facilitator and Julie as part of the jury.
Every third year the UIA Golden Cubes Awards honour people and organizations that help children and young people to develop a better understanding of architecture and the built environment. The award is divided into four different categories and each participating UIA country is allowed to nominate 1 national project in each category. An international jury then finds the four winners among all the national projects participating. This year Denmark participated for the first time.
The four Danish nomineés for the UIA Golden Cubes Awards 2020 are:
- Schools ’Inspired by nature’ by Farum Billedskole
- Institutions ‘Sharing territories’ by Louisiana, Museum of Modern Art og Ida Flarup
- Written media ‘Se dig for – 100 hverdagsmotiver’ by Christina Bruun Olsson
- Audio visual media ’The sound of my city’ by Frederiksberg Bibliotek og Ingeborg Okkels
In addition to the four nominations the jury has chosen to honour a fifth project with a Special Mention – the project is ’Architectics & Mathemature’ by Utzon Center.
Congratulations to all five projects!
